VW Beetle 5th wheel camper

figured if anyone hasn't seen this video, that its a fun look. I never get tired of it.
I can see some inherent problems with the design, like the trailer cutting every single corner you take, but I love the zipping around to park it

I've enjoyed it many times. Would need to modify the hitch to work with the '57 finned one, though.

Wonder if any survived?

I like this bad boy, too. The cosmetic stacks are a nice touch.

The Bug trailer setup seems a touch overengineered, with a trailer hitch clipped to the rain gutters and no apparent provision for trailer brakes...

What makes you think there are no brakes?

The hitch though gives me the heeby jeebies! Needs a wider base on each side imho.

I looked at that video again and noted that there was a provision for transmitting electrical power from the car to the trailer, which is something that I missed earlier, so electric brakes are definitely a possibility.
