It's Groundhog Day!

G'day Folks,

Ever since I saw the film I've always wanted to know - "what's the outcome - what does Phil have to say"?

Can someone please tell me the results for this year?

I'd like to know if I should indeed start cutting the hedges or wait for the next frost!

Hoping for winter till April.

(a) I love to ski.
(b) it reduces allergy season if winter runs late.
(c) I'm looking for more foreclosed properties to rent out. Winter keeps the competition (at least "normal" non-investor buyers) curled up in bed shivering, as they should be, not looking at properties, as they shouldn't be.

There is no way that this winter is ever going to end as long as this groundhog keeps seeing his shadow. I don't see any other way out. He's got to be stopped. And I have to stop him.

Oh bollocks really?

It was such a nice sunny day I cut the hedges and cleaned up the front garden...

...you could just feel the resentment from the rest of suburbia "why the f*** is he doing that now? Now the missus will want me to do our garden - bastard!!!!"

This is one time where television really fails to capture the true excitement of a large squirrel predicting the weather.

That's funny. A radio-show host in Boston (Dan Rea)once told a story from when he was a TV reporter. He was out on assignment early in the morning, covering the "first-snow-of-winter" story. The snow was so lame that it wasn't even sticking to paved surfaces. Apparently, a higher-up in the studio called the truck and told Dan that he wasn't getting into the story enough.
He then went nuts on the next broadcast, even shaking some powdered bushes, going "Look at this snow! Look at this snow!!". The manager was not amused .

Smile

That woman with the pink sweater in "Groundhog Day" Bill Murray had the one night stand with called "Nancy" looked hot as hell and classy, too.

I would have wanted to have sex with her EVERY day. Bang her like a screen door in a hurricane.

Wait... no... that would be like marriage. So forget it.

Perhaps not exactly ... there is something about breathing the vows that takes the wind out.
