Claimed:The richest 300 people on earth have as much wealth as the poorest 3 billion

I saw this Vid Clip on TV.
Claimed: "The richest 300 people on earth have as much wealth as the poorest 3 billion. This is no accident; those in power write the rules. Together, we have the power to change those rules."

80% of the World Poluplation has only 6% of the worlds wealth to devide between themselves.
For the site and Vid Clip:
The Rules

Will spreading Deomcracy (or some form of it) help or worsen the situation?

When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.

In a Forbes report they stated that the richest 85 people held more wealth than the poorest three and a half billion. They used the three and a half billion figure as that is half of the worlds population.

If that does not change- with more wealth going to the masses- then it does not bode well for long term stability of our world society. This is reference to the uber wealthy. Those that have/control less than 30 million are in a different class.

That is an issue mostly outside of our continent. Our poorest are usually overweight, have an air conditioned residence, cell phone, and cable service for their color television. Would confiscating all of the 1%ers wealth and redistribute it around the world make a positive change? Many countries do not allow certain classes from owning any real estate, there is then no incentive to make any effort to improve their situation.

Recently, for the first time, I heard the term primitivism. Some people think that the population of earth should be reduced to a few million and everyone should live off of the land in a sustainable way, maybe without money. Things go in cycles, mankind was there at one time and may be headed there again.

Capitalism is not inherently bad but when coupled with stupidism, as it is, it may the worst possible structure.

You sound like you're being paid by Fox News. They are usually overweight because quality food is expensive, junk food is cheap. You should work on taking away what little they have since they obviously don't deserve to have anything at all.

If the wealth inequality continues to the point where there's only a small elite class and no majority middle class, then the revolts will begin and things will fall apart. History always repeats itself. Sadly, learning from this history rarely seems to happen.

Not really. People through history have lived mostly in widely disparate circumstances depending on whether one is nobility or commoner. It's only since the invention of free trade and private wealth creation that we have developed this idea of equality of man. The reason we got rid of slavery is not some high-minded epiphany. It was because industrialization made machines cheaper than slaves.

We can go back very quickly. A prolonged world-wide drought would do it. Say a big meteor or a volcanic explosion. Poof, feudalism.

You got some documentation on the reason you allege the poor eat junk food? Seems like you have assumed what you want to be true. Maybe they eat the junk food because it TASTES good. Maybe the poorest are also not the brightest--and just don't know any better. Or maybe they have been educated that there are no consequences to bad choices.
