Top 10 handguns in the U.S. - Photos - Washington Times

Is your favorite sidearm on the list?

I own several variations of the Beretta, as well as too many Smiths including two versions of the M29 Dirty Harry's holding and three 629s, which are stainless variants of the blue 29s. My blue ones are all Harry's same vintage. I have the Kimber 1911 in a compact. Most of the rest of those are disposable tupperware. KelTec? REALLY?? Top 10 by what measure, popularity?

I think the numbers were strictly U.S. manufacturing. I wonder how many of those Berettas were for military use vice civilian market.

As far as handguns go, I love the feel of Beretta 92fs...it just 'fits' my hands better than most others. Plus the 9mm is a fairly versatile round and makes it easy for an average shot as myself to enjoy firing it.

Looks about right. I almost bought a Model 29 and I'm kicking myself for not doing it.

The G19 is the Toyota of pistols, so I'd expect it to top many lists.

Nothing crap about them. I own two. A 9mm and a 45. Took the 9 to the range today in fact. Accurate and fun to shoot and don't cost an obscene amount of money either.

All the pop up and banner ads make navigating that site a PITA. Obviously they are broke and desperate for money.

I have 3 that are on the list...5, if you count variants.

Again...you may not like the Hi Points, but they are quite reliable.

Nothing wrong with Hi-Points and Kel-Tecs as long as all you want is a cheap SD gun that's a strong contender in the What's Uglier Than A Glock Competition.

Reliability? Put 10K rounds through one (the minimum I'd consider to be proficient with a particular weapon) and get back to me.

That's almost a pointless statement unless you live on your own shooting range.... and/or are independently wealthy.
