Knew a girl back in the 80s who went to University of Houston, headed for law school; she paid her way by "dancing" at Pete's Caberet. She was taking in serious cash doing so.

nothing new about this. Couple girls I knew in college doubled as strippers to help pay for tuition. I even knew a heterosexual guy who worked as a "shot boy" at a gay bar in town.

Colleges cost so much money that people sometimes do what they have to do to make ends meet or they don't go to college, and morality be damned.

If I were her father, id be more than upset, but as a perfect stranger, I can't fault the fiscal plan she has here, graduating from college without 10-15 years of debt might be worth it.

It is horribly discriminatory against butt-ugly women and all men. We need a federal law requiring stripjoints to hire an equal number of men to women and half of the women should be butt-ugly.

Sounds like a double standard to me. I'd be OK with it since it is as you say, a solid fiscal plan to get an education without going into any debt. Better that than streetwalking where she could end up in the morgue.

you bet its a double standard. Like I said, I can appreciate the avoidance of huge debt in a perfect stranger, but you can bet your shorts were she my daughter, id be living in a cardboard box to pay her tuition before I would allow her to perform in adult films to do the same.

Doubtful. I don't think it is OK for your daughter or son but not OK if it is mine. I don't like multiple standards. If you actually knew anything about me, you'd know that.

I know you don't have any kids or at least don't claim any, and knowing what I know about my own attitudes about things before and after becoming a parent, doubt very seriously that you can make an actual prediction how you'd feel if you were her father.
