Fred Phelps Excommunicated?

And on his deathbed.

Huh, wonder why. My suspicion is it has to do with assets.

In spite of claims that I am a hater, I hate no one, and I do not wish death on anyone including these sickies, but these people really make my blood boil.

I went to Chris Kylie's Memorial Service at Cowboy Stadium many months ago. For those who might not recall, he was the decorated Navy Seal that was murdered by someone he was trying to help with PTSD.

In the course of negotiating some stop and go traffic near the stadium, I ended up hung in traffic about fifty feet from the Westboro nut cases for about two minutes. One of them had a sign with something to the effect that they wanted MORE dead soldiers. My blood was boiling and a number of Arlington policeman had the unpleasant job of providing them protection.

It's very difficult to see nut cases like this up close. They are some sick folks IMHO.

Maybe he repented and asked forgiveness? It seems like that would get him kicked out of that bunch.

We can only hope so.

It says he was excommunicated in October 2013. I wonder if the place just got tired of him. I remember that some of his kids had claimed afterwards that he was abusive; I could see the place getting rid of him if he grew nastier toward them in his older years or something.

While I don't generally wish sickness and/or ill-well on anyone...

I can't imagine ANY posters on Peachparts that could be low life enough to protest at a funeral, even the services for that nut case.

The guy did somehow manage to plumb new depths for twisted, greedy people to occupy. He just oozed a weird sort of sleeze, like an obsessed hell and brimstone preacher grafted onto an insurance scammer.

Pretty sure Kerry was kidding, but that is a thought, I wonder if anyone will do that. Almost would be better if he was ignored, utterly.
