Why didn't she pull over to the right lane to let him pass? He was an idiot for slowing down to flip her off and such and in that regard he got what was coming to him, but I think she should have pulled to the slow lane and let him pass. Seems like two egos were at play and he lost .... big time.

I was thining the same thing. Why the hell was she driving in the left lane blocking him from passing.

I am certainly slow to get over when a DB in a big truck like that is tailgating me. I don't road rage, just overtake whatever I'm overtaking at the slowest possible speed.

It's a power-trip for them, lifted so those bright lights blind you.

Exactly.

Looks like she just passed a guy who was in the right lane.

if you read her youtube comment right below the story, she explains the scenario to paint it in a positive light towards her... and she deleted comments because of the nasty troll attacks.

From what I could see, as soon as she clears the truck on the right, the DB tailgater immediately pulls over and into the right lane. If she was traveling at the posted speed limit, then she was right and truck man was wrong. She is not required to speed merely to make tailgater man happy.

I know if someone was following me that close I don't think I would immediately pull over into the right lane out of fear the tailgater would be thinking of doing the same thing.

Looks like plenty of guilt to go around.

In the video she is passing people and traveling at a very acceptable speed given the rainy conditions. I saw a truck just like this very easily spin out on a similar surface a few years back.

davidmash 03-28-2014 01:34 AM

When I look at the video she did not pass the two vehicles till 1 min into it. When she did the quick pan to her speedo and back it looked like she was right beside the truck (quick glimpse). Looks like she was cruising side by side with the two trucks she later passed (if she was not side by side why did the tail gater not pass on the right?).

I have had people ride up on me and I try and get over ASAP. If they want to go,faster that is their prerogative. There is not definitive way to tell what the situation was but I believe she could have moved over had she wanted to. Speed up a few MPH and pull over. No big deal. Did he get what was coming to him. Yep. Was she squeaky clean? Not in my opinion.

What rain. The truck had his windows down so did the lady in the SUV. I did not see water on any of the windows and I did not see any wipers going.

Here we sit again with the classic dilemma. Does she travel at the posted speed limit which only allows her to SLOWLY pass the two trucks on her right or does she floor board it and VIOLATE the posted speed limit so she can clear the two trucks and therefore move quickly into the right lane so that Mr. "my a** is on fire and YOU are in my way" can continue to drive in excess of the posted the speed limit?

Thankfully the DB didn't kill anybody when he careened across the oncoming lanes.

Around these parts put a late model German car in place of the Ford. Oh, hell, around these parts pick any vehicle. But the German marque drivers are certainly more proficient.

HuskyMan 03-28-2014 09:25 AM

Sometimes I'm slower than others but after much thought I've come to the following conclusion. Due to the fact that there exists so many DB drivers, the less time spent on the roads, the better. When I'm sitting in my living room, I am at a much lower risk level than when I am sitting behind the wheel. Sharing the roads with today's nut case, psychotic texting, cell phone yakking, newspaper reading drivers amounts to taking your life in your own hands.

And let's not forget most of them are packing "licenses" and "insurance verification cards" which according to the powers that be makes them "safe drivers"......;);)
