Crying shame, the man was a bright guy and a hell of an engineer. Hounded for making a lawful political contribution (we're not talking about funding a terrorist organization like the KKK or anything like that). Despicable.

One more reason to hope for dot.bomb 2.0; bet the hipster trash won't be so smug after losing 50% of their savings in the NASDAQ.

So you'd be OK with everyone (52%+ of California voters) who voted for Prop 8 to be hounded out of a job? I'm not a supporter of Prop 8 or similar laws, but damn it, people have a right to be political without being hanged, drawn, and quartered for it.

Eh, guy learned the hard way that he is in the public eye as a CEO.

Probably shouldn't have mattered much but obviously others disagree. Personally I still don't see the point in barring someone from consensually marrying someone they care about though. Pretty lame.

My view is this: civil unions should be the provenance of the state, and should be allowed between any two consenting adults, and given the rights and responsibilities of marriage. "Marriage" should be strictly a church matter.

Compared to the folks that where hounded out of school . . . Jobs . . Families . . .the military . . .

Check YouTube for the "Whites Only" laundromat commercials.

You tell me who is to judge?

LOL, questioning the tolerance to a guy who was financially active in his intolerance. What's next, no more executing murderers?

That would have made more sense if that was your first post in this thread.

Since no one is asking the obvious.... What if it were the other way around? Would he be equally criticized by the other side?

As time goes by, I see more and more lefties that constantly claim that conservatives are intolerant, while they are being intolerant themselves. It appears that with many lefties things are only intolerant if they are not going their way.

I didn't read anything which explained why he was in favor of a proposition to ban gay marriage. That might be relevant to his situation.
Tolerance is never a simple virtue. What if a person was a serious Nazi? Should she be publicly shunned?
