Against my better judgement...

And the advice of others...

I sold the Duramax, and picked up one of these:

Prolly going to regret this purchase, but what the hell, YOLO!

So far, digging it - plenty powerful stock, and runs like a raped ape! Got a tuner coming for it this week, as well as some other go fast parts. Should be pretty quick - reckoning high 12-second pass in the quarter with good conditions (and 4WD boosted launches)!

Whoa, hold the phone... iwrock actually bought something he talked about buying?

Looks pretty nice. Is it a King Ranch? 6.0? How many miles?

Lariat with a 6.4.

Couldn't find a King Ranch in white, so I went with a Lariat.

That just looks like a standard work truck. What bro-dozer mods do you have planned past the chip for true personalization?

Just a nice exhaust, leveling kit, and some nice mud tires.

Can't go too wild - going to pull a 5th wheel with this rig.

5th wheel, that's what I need on my 1998 F150. I hate pulling a heavy load with a ball.

Nice truck.
I know! I have a feeling something majorly expensive is going to take a poop - and is going to do so fairly soon. LOL

With that said, the ergo in this is much better than my GMC, and the ride is nicer as well.

My friend just bought a brand spanking new Dodge pickup. He gets almost as good highway mileage with his big mf V-8 as I do with my 6-cyl Subaru.

I owned a Dodge pickup back in the early 1980's -- a waste of steel and paint. Later I owned a Caravan -- worse. Burned twice, never again. But my friend loves his new ride and I can see why. That sucker is loaded with features and has a great ride. But still …..

Have the pleasure to drive those for work. You get the stares of envy from fellow pick up drivers and the stares of disgust from the hipster girls in their Hybrids...

Yeah, newer diesels aren't too bad on fuel! I was getting ~19.6MPG (hand calculated) on my way back from Oklahoma.

The newer trucks really rival luxury cars with features and comfort! I sat in a new '14 F250 King Ranch, and the interior was nicer than my 03 E55!

HA!

The girls up here love a clean truck! My GMC got more attention from the opposite in a week, than my E55 did in 1 year!

Meh Ford, my trimmer is putting a new 5.4 in his 1 ton this week. Great trucks for those with lots of time on their hands to fix things! Everyone I know that runs newer Ford diesels seems to get to enjoy nice out of warranty repair bills.

One of my competitors just bought his son last fall a 2013 F350 extended cab, loaded, diesel, 4x4, leather every option Ford offers. I think it MSRP'd over $60k+. First thing he did was buy a $5k plow for it and a salter so now in 5 years it will be trashed and worthless.

Nice truck!

I need to get a 350 so I can pull a goose, I'd like to step up to a 2 car trailer.
