Now what woz dat TV show called?

G'day Folks,

I've been scratching and scratching about in the back of my head trying to remember enough details of a TV show I once saw so I can make google searches a bit more meaningful.

Can anyone remember an American TV show made around the turn of the century say between 1995 and 2005 that had the gorgeous brunette byrd who was cute but a bit butch - she had the brains - sidekick man wasn't so smart...

...I think it was a detective / adventure thing...

...definitely something to do with alligators...

...set in a warm Southern US state...

...but with humour from the North East - smart arse humour...

...the series didn't run for long...

...there was a convertible 1970s American car in it - possibly red - possibly a Mustang...

...I have no idea on which network is was broadcast in the US because I saw in on BBC2!

Any ideas?

Are you thinking of 'The Big Easy' which was on the USA Network?

The Big Easy (TV Series 1996

moonlighting

Another good choice.

Moonlighting (TV Series 1985

I'm pretty sure it was not Moonlighting based on his description. Who could forget blonde Cybil Shephard and Bruce Willis...

Nope wasn't that one

Or the one about the four selfish women told in a self absorbed narrative form in the guise of a newspaper column...

...or the one about five fugitives who always seem to get locked up in garages and warehouses with welding equipment that enables them to construct stuff and then escape - grab the guns and use up an incredible amount of ammunition and yet nobody ever dies...

remember, the OP is a dangerous foreigner, so to him, Cybil Shepherd and Bruce Willis are just another blond woman and bald guy.

:D

Never seen that before.

The one I'm thinking of was more Everglades-ie - more of a swampy setting for the episodes

It is a little bit like that film "Sweet home Alabama"

Yeah but she's a big blond - and I mean big - have you seen the size of her plates (of meat)?

Maybe "Tropical Heat" AKA "Sweating Bullets"?

Sweating Bullets (TV Series 1991

Not sure as I can't find any online video clips

Description isn't like how I remembered it though!

Sounds more ridiculous than usual. His wife can channel the spirit of a dead slave girl?

Liz Vassey is definitely a looker though

Checked the Directors list and 2 of the guys who directed the 7 episodes were College classmates...Barry Sonnenfeld and Ken Fink...which shows that a good education don't mean ****e!
