Gotta love this MB Craigslist ad

No affiliation... the extremely very rare 1998 E300 with the V6.

this one is epic... its a 1998 300E built on the W124 chassis - I think that the Assembled in India models also were out of production by 1998.

seems like someone gave a handwritten note which makes the 3 look like an 8

93 300E M104

He's a tool...note the Ghetto Black trim job.

Looks like my old 93 300E Sportline M104...if it is a 93 then the M104 has NO Electrionic governor on the throttle and the witch will fly...but also the ETB Contoller is NLA and rebulit ones are POS.

I passed this ugly junker not too long ago in Philly. It's a pre-facelift 89 300E for sure. Bumpers and moldings aren't updated yet. It looks like my now sold 88 300E (ironically same color combo and miles).

In fairness, it looks like just a typo in the title. The description says 1989, and the V6 thing? We see this a lot. Some people just don't know what the V part means. They think any six cylinder is a V6, all fours are inlines, and all eight cylinders are V... Some of those assumptions work out, fours and eights generally. But sixes can be quite variable. And then there are the strange ones, like Volkswagen's narrow sixes and W12's...

Gets worse with radial engines involved, of course

So very few were used automotively though. I have seen a horizontal radial three cylinder, and it was even weirder. The crank stayed put and the block turned!

In their day, those were called 'rotary engines'.

I have come across an engine that had output from its camshaft - that was really strange.
