oldie but a goodie

Grandpa called me a few months back and told me he wanted to give me his old compressor. Ive been running a 20 year old craftsman for several years now.

Went and picked it up last night, took 3 guys and my engine hoist to put it on the trailer.

Got it all wired up lastnight and found that the pressure switch was leaking pretty good. It was leaking really bad this am. I had sucked the nasty oil out and put atf in the crankcase to help clean it out before refilling with amsoil.
Figured with the leak ,the atf would have time to slosh around.

Installed a new pressure switch this am. It is now leak free making 160psi.

Need to replace the belts as well. This thing may outlast me.

If you plan on using it to paint with DO NOT use detergent oil in the compressor. It will react with the paint and cause problems.

Great looking compressor by the way.
