300d headlight question

if there is a better thread to post my question on please let me know?

Anyways, I need to replace my headlights on my 84 300d and I was wondering if anyone has or has seen pictures of the w123 model with modern looking headlights?
also where can i get aftermarket headlights for the w123?

I believe what you are looking for are the Euro style headlamps.

Not sure about aftermarket lights... I generally go with OEM used parts for my 83SD.

Diesel discussion has a host of informative folks who may have used the aftermarkets.
In fact, there is a wealth of knowledge and information over there about your W123.

Welcome to the forum.

This may not be what you are looking for, but these will put out a great deal of light and are popular in Europe and have been since the 70's. We just don't get them here.

But do post this in the diesel section. Someone there has very likely tried just what you are talking about.

Second the recommendation for Daniel Stern. I've personally spoken to him (about lights for an old Volvo) -- the guy is very knowledgeable if eccentric.

If you're just looking for better light vs the Euro look, buying the 7" round H4 lights from him is a good option and an easy install.

You're after the Euro lights, and a good aftermarket seller is DEPO (here's a link to a set on eBay).

I have the H4's. They are pretty good. I think I'm in the minority, but I actually like round headlights on a w123.
