Funny, I was thinking that the picture could have been from around here somewhere.

Sometimes I park that way but only because I am frequently parking in construction areas among other vehicles parked the same way.

As a matter of course, I don't park that way, nor do I see a lot of vehicles parked that way. I think it's laziness or people thinking that parking that way decreases their risk of a side swipe from passing cars and trucks.
