How Long Until US Follows Suit?

It is unconfirmed but i understand that in the UK they banned creationism from being mentioned in schools. How long until that ban is instituted here?

Never happen here. Different models of curriculum establishment. Creationism is not science so it shouldn't be taught in science classes. Should be taught in history classes right alongside geocentrism with explanations of why scientists no longer pursue either way of thinking.

^^^Yes! Perhaps the history class curriculum could be structured to segue from the era which the majority of the people believed in creationism directly to the era in which the majority believed that the world was flat.

The law was originally put into effect in 2012, this latest deal just added more schools. In any event, it only bans teaching creationism as evidence based science. It can still be studied as mythology, or something.
It won't happen here. The slope is not slippery.

Because that would spoil the bait being used to troll with.

3 seconds with google shows that the UK banned teaching creationism as 'science'.
Completely different thing than what was posted, and IMHO a fine decision.

So, in answer to the poll, I would say likely never, as we have way too many crackpots in our political system who are thoroughly uneducated and willing to push the agenda of creationism despite overwhelming contradictory evidence.

I'm not as pessimistic as you are. I expect that such a ban will be addressed by Executive Order during the next Clinton Administration.

I appreciate the thought, but I have no blood pressure problem at all. IIRC the numbers were 125 / 75 at my physical a few weeks ago. The girl always comments that it is "awesome."

Maybe you could offer that concern to someone who takes medicine and needs the concern.

Thanks for the clarification. I hope the THEORY of evolution is also not being taught as science.

Theory does not mean what you think/want it to mean. Evolution is a fact proven over and over again. Man has evolved as well. There are a few missing pieces as I understand it but evolution has been proven absolutely. What we have evolved from and where exactly that split took place is still being investigated.

If evolution is not being taught as science, what is it being taught as?

I see you still don't grasp of what science actually is. Maybe you should look that up.
