ROLLIN'' COAL........
http://www.vocativ.com/culture/society/dicks-pick-trucks-meme-rollin-coal/
Because riding on someone's bumper is not offensive enough. Quote: "The ultimate highway enemy, however, are “nature nuffies,” or people who drive hybrid cars, because apparently, pro-earth sentiment is an offense to the diesel-trucking lifestyle. “The feeling around here is that everyone who drives a small car is a liberal,” says Ryan. “I rolled coal on a Prius once just because they were tailing me.”"

I can admit to occasionally (when the bike riders in the canyon are 3 or more abreast) bogging down the diesel a bit before overtaking them, then downshifting and cleaning out the pipes....
Never have gone out of my way to make my vehicles anything but as efficient as possible though.

Stupid dogs used to chase my Diesel Blazer and try to run in front of it. Resisted the temptation to just run over their heads since, well, it just ain't my nature. However, when dog came even with side exhaust pipe, I would boot the throttle and dump a bunch of soot in his yapping mouth. Sometimes education doesn't taste very good.
Dogs really drive me nuts. I really worry about hurting them when they come chasing my car. I don't want to hit them but sure don't want to hit anything else.! I did get to fill the cabin of a rice burning 120 db stereo propelled car once after he cut me off at a stop light so he could be in the right lane. Just eased up to put my right pipe even with his open window. When the light turned green, his world turned very grey for a minute. yeah, there's a bit of evil in me. |

Why else did they buy a diesel truck, other than because it's more efficient than a g@sser? They should empathize with the Prius crowd, not hate.

Slate paints it more polically Rolling Coal: Conservatives who show their annoyance with liberals, Obama, and the EPA by blowing black smoke from their trucks.

Smoke bombs, big deal. Long way around the barn to get to stupid.
It's a little funny to imagine people thinking that cars and trucks are so american. The american dream was about staying home on the family farm and raising a family. The car killed the american dream. When people wake up and understand that commercials on TV are training films and watching them makes you a dupe... ain't happenin'. |

Coal ? This is funny because the coal-fired power plants that give off wispy thin black smoke are wayyy dirtier than the ones that give off billowing clouds of white (and partly blue) smoke.
(the white smoke is all clouds/moisture from the SO2 scrubbing process. -John

You could actually call it a cloud generator.
I hate to tell those Prious drivers that if they live in a state where the majority of electricity is made from coal then it could feasibly be considered a coal fired car.

One of the employees there drives a "Think" (it looks like a smart car, but has cheaper paint and is a plug-in-electric) and its license plate says "COAL PWR". That Indiana dude gets it (Think cars-> THINK Electric Vehicles | Think Electric Vehicles – USA | 100% Green. 100% Unique.) -John
