The engineering was incredible and the idea noble. Putting on my downer hat once again, I think the chances of any other living beings encountering the craft and reading the clues about the strange species that sent it hither are tiny beyond tiny. And even on the slim chance that it did wander into a solar system with an inhabited planet, much more likely it would burn up like yet another meteor than be captured intact by that species.

Any being that were to discover it would have to so so advanced that would see their tech as magic. Closest star is something like 4.5 light years away from us...If anyone has figured out how to fo faster than light I doubt they would have any interest in us, as primitive as we are.
If you believe the likes of Hawking's and others, any life form that stumbles upon us will not see us as an ally but as a food or labor source. Thet are more likely to be like the Borg (Star Trek) or Kaylon (Orville). Likely none of us will be around to experience it. |
We have a few places that look possible already in our solar system, i believe.
