With the number of community property states in the west, waiting till one is 65 is a shrewd strategy since the marital estate will be somewhat limited and both spouses will easily be able to maintain "separate" property. In fact, it provides Jim with the perfect incentive to be as lazy as a dog in summer for the rest of his married years.

Sadly Jim has gone from being a "prospect" to now being a "customer".

I think congratulations are in order. But if memory serves me correctly, I am somewhat puzzled since your posting record didn't evidence a high regard for the institution. I assume it involves an air tight pre-nup.

Please add my hearty congratulations too, Jim. All the best for a long, happy life together.

Which car is her wedding present?

Best regards,
Greg

Congratulations Jim.

Keep in mind that every Bday, Valentines Day, Mothers Day and Xmas will initially be compared to the excitement that "the proposal" generated and you will be expected to "raise the bar" somewhat each time. How much differs with each gal.

Good luck with that partner.

After a while ( 40+ years) the expectation bar gets lower.

That's better than some guys I know. They have 5-year-olds trapped inside their bodies.
