96' E320
 

I found a 96' E30 with 102k miles that I want to look at. It is priced at $16k. What are some things to look for on this car? Problems? Sounds like a good deal. I would like to buy it to possible resell. What do yall think?Thanks!!

Check head gasket /timing cover for oil leaks. Check on the service also. Usually dont have many problems from late model e320's.

the 96 should have an m104 engine. what applies to those engines should apply to that car too.

Other than that, I'm not sure.

Is the car equipt with ASR? If so check to see if there have been any problems with it. Me boss has a '96 E320 and that has been the only problem he has had (ASR light stays on - car goes into limp home mode - problem was hard to diagnose and not cheap to fix). On the other hand I have a '95 E420 with ASR and have never had any problems with it.
