This may sound funny or stupid.. but this is true.

Spring is here, the tempreture is now back at the 70's and insects are coming out of hibernation. Yesterday, while I was going to the carport to get my car... I was chased out by 3 bees. They are not just any bee's.. they are some freaky mutant type bees. They are about 3 inches long, and inch wide.. entirely black and agressive like hell. These things chase people and birds.. anything that moves. I have no idea what kind of bees these are.. and since I am sort of alergic to bee stings, I decided to wait a while before I go back. unfortunately, these bees continued to hover around my carport until sun set. I have no idea where the nest is or where they came from. They were not here last year. I already called the exterminator and I hope they can nuke the entire area and get rid of every one of those darn things:mad:

however.. what really got me mad is what I found this morining. As I went to my car, I saw a lot of yellow stuff on my hood. After a closer examination.. I find out its bee $hit. You guessed it.. these things hover over my car and $hit all over it!:mad: However.. it wouldn't wipe off, I had to literally scrape it off the hood. I am worried that the poop might have some sort of chemical that would screw up the paint. Should I just cover up the hood until the exterminator comes, or should I just ignore this problem? I never dealt with anything like this before... its really strange. By the way.. anyone know what kind of bees these things are?

Having a fresh coat of wax will help these kind of contaminants to come right off.

I always keep a bottle of Meguiar's Quik Detailing spray in the trunk and immediately wipe off bird droppings, because if left on, the acid in the droppings will eat through your cleat coat.

I have no idea what creature you've found!! Never heard of anything bigger than a Carpenter Bee (boars 5/8" holes into wood for a home). Does it look like a big round fuzzy bumble-bee or a long thin shiny wasp? If you're feeling brave, I've never seen anything survive Raid Wasp/Hornet spray. You just have to have good aim the first time!! :eek:

I remember growing up in Texas, we'd have some of them big ole bees. No idea what kind they are, never been stung by one either, but sure do remember getting the crap scared out of me when they buzzed by. Sounded like the CAF was passing by in B-17's.

Now, are you sure it's bee droppings on the car? It is spring time, and as I recall them Southern Jack Pines sure do put out a ton of yellow pollen this time of year. Could it be pine pollen collecting in the dew drops?

My goal is to kill one of those suckers and take a picture of it and post it. My mother doesn't know what they are either. I thought they could be carpenter bees but I am not sure. They look like bumble bees but only bigger. I know bumble bees have some yellow on them, but these things don't. Yes they are also fuzzy... and yes they do make a loud noise when they swarm around you.

I think these are bee droppings... they are more of a yellow neon color drops with "stuff" in the middle of it that looks like orange pulps, but way smaller.

There is a Goodyear store about a block away... would this store carry the product?

You know what.. they could be really carpenter bees. However, it says that they are up to 1 1/2 inches long. I think the ones here are bigger, but I could be wrong.

Judging by this description, I think I have carpenter bees but a little bigger than the usual ones.

The description sounds like hornets. They are probably building a nest in your carport. On the other hand, I'm not sure hornets hover very much. They usually move pretty fast.

If they are indeed hornets and building a nest, you need to find a way to take care of it early, before three hornets become a hundred.

I've been fighting plain wasps a lot so far, trying to build along my front porch. They are less aggressive and I can take them out with Wasp/Hornet killer that sprays a foam about 10-15 feet.

No, I don't think the product is available at Goodyear.

Meguiar's Qwik Detailer Spray comes in a red spray bottle, and is carried by virtually every automitove supply store like Pep Boys, Autozone, etc.

I've also seen it at Wal-Mart and K-mart. I've also seen it in the automotive section at many supermarkets.

If you're not familiar with the Meguiar's line of car care products, it might be a good idea to avail yourself of them. They make good stuff.

If they're carpenter bees, you'll find bore holes in the underside of the solid wood members of your carport. They always seem to drill up from the bottom surface. I guess this keeps the rain out? All the sites say a carpenter bee is only about one inch long. Yours are 2 - 3 inches long?

Can't you park your car somewhere else for a couple days until you get rid of these beasts?

On a second thought.. they are about 2 inches. Saw one close up on a bush today. I park infront of the house until the exterminator comes.
