Today was Michigan Turkey opener and I shot the HOG 10 1/4 in. beard and for those people who hunt yes the shotgun is a Benelli and I painted it myself it was a very beautiful gun but I think it looks better with a paint job.

I prefer the Bennelli over all because of the simple kinetic action. I have shot well over 2000 rounds through my current gun with no jams, I am sure it's day will come but it's still ol' faithful. I wish Browning was still made in Germany, I have a Belgian superimposed for Upland hunting but I get a little skittish running a $20,000 shotgun through the brush.

All of my gun's are for a specific purpose HUNTING I respect show guns but I seem to like the work horses like the w124.

As for Sako....My favorite production gun. Fortunately one of the best rifle makers in the US lives in less than 5 miles from me he builds amazing guns for me whenever I need them.

Well my family doesn't hunt, but we do go clay pigeon shooting and the like occasionally.

My dad has a 6 shot semi auto, 5 in the gun, 1 in the chamber. Its a beretta Shotgun or maybe thats the model. all I know is its nice.

My brother has a single shot 12 gauge.

I have a good ol ruger 10/22 for target shooting.

One day , I'l pick up a handgun just because I always wanted one, a Walther PPK Ala James bond has always been one of my favorites, but I also like the good ol 9mm beretta with 16 shot clip.

Howa 1500 action (Weatherby) Trued polished and accurized Stainless
Belle and Carlson stock

for around 1000 - 1500

Mine shoots 1/4 inch groups at 300 yards.

He sells them for much more via Safari Club but he gives me and my referrals a good deal you can't touch that kind of accuracy for less that 5K. If you have a old rifle laying around with an action you can use he will do that to. Like if you have a 30-06 or something like that he will build a 220 Swift.

I have many from the years past but this guy is a HOG. and yes I know I need to do the first mow and spread the weed and feed.

Yip and that .50 cal bullet that you put into the grond looking for oil is still there, I might try digging that up today.

Actually I had to unload my .50 so he destroyed a leaf on the ground, it became the target of the second.

I mowed today BTW, first mow of the year....all 2 hours of it and I am half way done.

No oil though? Need a bigger gun.:D

Nice Turkey!

I was never a big fan of wild Turkey, my dads friend usualy hunts them. I prefer the fat farm raised ones!:D

1 turkey breast, deboned and cut into strips across the grain.
1 16 oz. bottle Italian dressing
1/2 tsp. Lemon Pepper
Dash of Liquid Smoke
2 eggs beaten
2 cups milk
Salt as needed
Pepper as needed
2 cups flour
Peanut or vegetable oil as needed
Marinate turkey strips in Italian dressing, lemon pepper, and Liquid Smoke for 8 hours or overnight. In small bowl, beat eggs into milk. In second bowl, mix salt pepper, and flour. Dip turkey strips in egg wash and then into batter. Deep fry in oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve with gravy made with 2 Tbsp. flour combined in skillet with 2 Tbsp. melted butter, salt and pepper. Slowly add 1 cup milk, stirring constantly until thickened.

MMM that sounds good.

Cooked like that I could probably get used to the wild turkey.:cool:
