sold one toy and bought another

I sold the bike at the beginning of christmas week. I had been in search of a boat for almost 6 months. Christmas eve day, while sitting at work, I found the boat I wanted. Picked it up the day after Christmas, and made the first trip out that same day. Its a 99 astro with a 150 hp Mercury. I am very pleased with it. Plenty of room, fast as s&*t , and smooth. Hopefully in another month I will be replacing the graphs (fish finders).

Made the switch for my family. My oldest boy loves to fish and so does the wife. I have no doubt my 1 year old will as well once he gets old enough. He is already carrying big brothers fishing pole around the house.

They do say that the 2 happiest days of a boat owner's life are the day he buys the boat and the day he sells the boat.

To spare you the trouble, I will take it off your hands for FREE.

Im sure you would

Not my first rodeo. I have already put a couple hundred into to make it mine/ take care of any maintenance items. The po said he put an impeller in it last year. I did it anyways for peace of mind, as well as change the oil in the lower unit.

Impeller or Propeller? I thought you have a Propeller? I know what my Jetski has is considered an Impeller.

impeller as in water pump. It should be replaced yearly on an outboard.

Oh. Good to know. I never had an outboard so I never researched it. But if you gave me the boat, I would learn.

Nice, ought to move nicely with a 150 on it!

I'm thinking of downsizing from our Sea Ray to a bass boat for the same reason you sold your bike, I've finally got a kid who likes to fish with me! Can still pull a tube and skiers but a lot easier to tow and fish off of.

Congrats!

It does mid 50's. Plenty fast for me. It could probably gain 10 mph or so if I installed a jack plate, adjusted the motor height , and played with props. Not really at the top of my list.
