Banning Breast Feeding

at a breast feeding conference DOH!

The Scottish Government spokesperson said: “The event was initially organised for health professionals and service providers.

Were they worried that the "professionals" would be grossed out?

If this happened in the US the response would be about a thousand women nursing in the conference just to make a statement.

I'm not sure I understand what the reason for bringing a kid to a conference is. Statement or not. Some pet expo shows ask you to NOT bring your own pets to the expo. How is this any less rude than me leaving my cell on, it rings and I take a call in the conference?

Pets don't eat from a human nipple under optimal conditions. Babies do.

Pets can be left at home in a crate with food and water. Child protective services tends to frown upon such behavior.

I would think if there was a pet expo that pets would be accepted. Kind of goes hand in hand.

I would not be surprised if the people in charge of this conference on breast feeding consisted entirely or mostly men.

Wonder if they were all R's david? Would not surprise me at all. Nothing better in life than some fresh breast milk in the morning.

Good point. Wanna bet my dog will sit and lay down quietly during the presentation? Will your baby? My dog eats in the morning and evening. Drinks when it's thirsty and if water is there. Also housebroken. It doesn't cry when the diaper is wet or full, when it's hungry or just because. Your baby?

I went to a seminar to hear the speaker present something not to be interrupted by your baby crying. So yes, it is kinda rude just as if you take or make a call during a conference.

Or if they are properly trained, left alone with water.

I'd want to make sure your pet is properly vaccinated at least. Another issue is the owners might get lazy and might not pick up after the dog.

I don't know. I have no problems with a woman pulling out a book or two. How many guys you know that do?

Not sure. I'm slightly lactose intolerant.

No idea of political affiliation. I would guess religiously conservative, prude and male would be accurate descriptions.

I'm not religious nor grossed out. Probably unable to stop staring.
