What Every U.S. State Is Best at

Take a Bow, America: What Every U.S. State Is Best at

Quote:
Each of the 50 states is special in its own way. But much like a class of pampered elementary school students, everyone gets an award for something. Here’s what’s written on the certificate sure to be hanging from each state’s fridge.
WOOT CT! Go most twin births!

I was hoping for lowest rate of syphilis but we got beat on that one.

Ah, hadn't thought about it that way. Thought they were being euphemistic about their personalities.

You can click the link in each states little blurb and it will tell you where the data comes from. It isn't a very scientific study, either overall, or the particular one used for North Dakota. If I recall, it was based on sales of "magnum" sized condoms from one source.

I think this is hilarious contrasted with the what every state is worst at chart below in the link

For example, vermont has the most frequent exercisers combined with the most illicit drug use. I guess they spend a lot of time running from the cops.

"Best at," could mean taxing too.

California and New York's income tax rates would have to be near the top, I would imagine.

High sheep population? Or close to Canada?

Swamp Yankee, I have not had this good of a laugh in a long time!

I got the best results combining the two maps.

Here's a Map That Shows What Every American State is the Worst At - CollegeHumor Post

Montana: Highest motor vehicle death rate and longest lived cats: folks are swerving to miss all the cats on the road!

Arizona: Worst at going to the dentist and Sunniest state! Avoiding not only the pain of the dentist and not only blinded by the dentist's light but the sunlight!

Oregon: Most craft breweries per capita and Most prescription painkiller abuse. Guess getting drunk and high!

Pssst...Oklahoma is Anti-Dentite. Arizona is the Foreclosure capital.

That map is pretty depressing, although Maryland's "Most Cursing" isn't particularly damning.

I'm afraid that's spot on for us. CT- "Worst State to Retire". Guess with the most twin births there's a better chance one of them will keep their assets here.

My father has started prospecting for future homes after his second full year of retirement. I told him to make sure it's a warm and fun place to visit in the winter. Other than that, well, that's it!

Are you sure?

Oh come on, what have you against British humor? Guess why I found it funny and not you?

Why even settle? Why not do like a lot of folks and rent while they are down here? I have been hopping to family who have free room and sometimes board (I am polite). Might have a job about June in Puget Sound, just enough to cover expenses. But then, I am young according to some.

'Cuz I ain't all that bright?

He really enjoys traveling with his boat or camper so it'd be more like a home base where taxes are or aren't paid. While I can't picture him as the rent or lease type, and as much sense as that would make for someone who spends months away from home, he has surprised us before. My brother's in-laws live just outside of Orlando so his kids get to FL 1-2 times a year and Disney is nothing special. My FIL is outside of New Haven, CT. Who the heck wants to go there? I'm counting on my father to provide us with a vacation destination!
