Ok. So I bought a C4

Despite all the wise advise "not to", I found this gem out in Oregon.
A 1996 LT4 with 93k miles. Targa top and 6-speed trannie. Should be fun enough!

You know how to buy a Vette. Buying one without a manual transmission is like hiring a prostitute that doesn't have the equipment necessary to do her job.

I had my '88 with 4+3 manual for 19 years. It was a FUN car to drive.

It's a good starting point at 350 HP crank. Lingenfelter should be able to make what you have boring.

there was a guy in Salt Lake that had a custom '84 with a Lingenfelter motor in it for a reasonable price a few weeks ago. He had a dyno chart showing somewhere in the 500 crank HP range. I hesitated a day too long, and it was gone. that would have been REALLY fun!

The only C4 worth buying is the ZR1.

The best buy is to at least a C5 or C6 nowadays. They're certainly cheap enough.

Way too much money for too little.

Mine is a 4+3. Weird transmission, like a semi truck. Splitting the gears is funky.

Hey now, this isn't the "opinion" thread, that was the other one. This is the "congratulations/post something helpful" thread or post nothing at all.

Boring. Now when he has a video of him doing a burnout and breaking the halfshafts that is different.
