When did they quit making the 420 engine? Is that 95 version much different than the Gen II W126's starting in 85?

Its an M119 V8, one of the best 8's ever made. Totally different than the M116.

S420 is a great car, as long as its in good shape!

Good buy than, the W140 isn't terrible to work on and is one of the better S class generations.

The S320 and S420 are basically big W126's with a few more vacuum and electrical gizmos but nothing to crazy.

Good to know. I love W126s but most are getting too old and high mileage to be a daily for me.

Saw it on craigslist. Nice color. Last year of the higher quality interior. Also last year of the wiring harness degradation issues. Hope the AC works!

I just picked up a 1998 S500 with double the mileage to play with.

AC works, door closers and trunk closers work. All the little gadgets works sound system works. So far, so good
