Volvo to S. Carolina
Volvo factory to bring 4,000 jobs to South Carolina - May. 11, 2015
Located in Berkeley County, it is expected to create 2,000 new jobs over the next decade, and up to 4,000 jobs by 2030. Construction will begin later this year and Volvo expects to begin rolling out cars from the factory in 2018.

South Carolina is home to 250 automakers and suppliers, making it the leading U.S. state for exports of both tires and automobiles, according to Volvo.
Volvo said it chose the location because of a "well-trained labor force," proximity to international ports and the state's "attractive investment environment."
