Another Benz in the news
What is it about these cars that makes young, recently rich folks think they own the interstate?
http://www.macon.com/mld/macon/sports/3163696.htm This was in this mornings Macon paper. OH YEA - you DO NOT go over the posted speed limit in the construction area on the interstate in this county. I drive through it quite a bit and they are in the process of rebuilding like 8 big bridges through there. In addition, I don't know if anyone on here has ever stood on the side of the interstate (with the exception of Mike T) while cars zoomed by at 70+ mph. The noise is deafening and when I did it one time I got a very uncomfortable feeling.

A fool and his Benz will soon be parted... good thing his head didn't part with his neck. Bravo Mr. Officer who issued the ticket. If I were Michael Jordan I'd suspend him for a few games for being an idiot. Can't drive a car, can't drive to the hoop.

Kuan... umm don't want to be a smartass but the Wizard's season ended a while back:p So I don;t think suspending him would do anything unless he suspends him for this incident when the season begins in late October

So the car cost him about a week of pay?
Far as I can tell the only mistakes were that he didn’t get his S it with a radar detector and that he was kind of petal shy -- a 600 can do a lot more than 120. Had he stuffed the bike the deed would have been over with. Instead he wanted to play. You don’t get into pro sports without being willing to take chances and able to succeed at them. Ah to be young and rich!

Yea Cap't I forgot - that is right over there in your neck of the woods. You know what I am talking about. Within the past couple weeks that particular county routed EVERYBODY off of Interstate 16 and through a rest area where they checked DL and insurance cards. Let's just say they made alot of $$ that day
I'll bet that S600 is pretty smooth at that speed

I 16 is nothing but miles and miles of rural country and a pretty good road. You can be "tempted " to let it all hang out but it is heavily patroled. At the checkpoint they caught a guy with 100 lbs of marijuana, one with 6 grams of cocaine, several drunks and 3 fugitives. Leave it to central Ga. to have a license check on an interstate!!!

The real idiot was the one on a BIKE driving at that speed! Yikes!
I was driving thru Tennessee a couple of years ago, and witnessed a high speed chase involving a rice-rocket bike, and about 7 or 8 TN state troopers. They were doing at least 90 or so...they guy on the bike wiped out, almost got ran over by a couple of cars, including the cops that were chasing him! It was NOT pretty. Can you say: "Pavement Pizza" "Road Rash" "Asphalt Tattoo" "motormush" Mike
