I heard that earlier. What a terrific actor. We've lost many recently.

I had not heard before that he was suffering with Alzheimer's; I suppose the heart attack was a kind of blessing.

I never met him but I did know one of his Valets pretty well.

That guy described Omar as a very old school Gentleman in every sense of the word. Always classy, always going first class. Think James Bond levels of sophistication and that pretty much sums him up.

My friend described him as a world class Bridge player with one weakness and that was cheesecake. He knew it was not good for him but every now and then he would have my friend whip him one up, like when guests were coming over.

Gentlemen are rare in show-biz and now, sadly, there is one less.

Dr. Zhivago, great flick and one of the most photographically perfect films ever made.

he was loved in the Arabic world too.

Car fans should watch "The Yellow Rolls Royce" where Sharif and Ingrid Bergman are in the third chapter of the movie.

I,for one, was font of him.
