A Porsche ad I shot recently.

Had the pleasure to shoot this little ad recently. I hardly ever show any of my work around here, but this being car related I can't resist.

Cool. Makes me want to buy a Porsche. There is the small issue of money, of which I don't have enough unless I want a 40 year old 914 or a first-run Boxster from before they got the bugs worked out.

Good stuff, but honestly I really don't like the speeded up bits. Probably not your doing, but it's like a cheesy movie effect.

All that's missing is a bombastic voice over by Jeremy Clarkson.

Very nice work. But how does the models hair stay in place in a cabriolet whipping down the road? One extra pedal should have been required.

That's really cool! I like it.

Do you have to get permission/shut down roads when you do that sort filming?

Normally yes, if you play it by the books. There were no cameras rigged on the car or car to car shots, just shots from the road and me in the passenger seat.

Porsche power. I think it was a lucky shot, most of the time her hair was all over the place. And I agree on the third pedal, but I believe they are harder to come by in the newer models.

Very well done; I think it conveys power well.

One question - I'm seeing what looks like orange peel on the driver door right at the one second mark.

Curious - is this orange peel, or an artifact of video compression?

I think you're right, they don't paint those German cars anymore like they used to do. I used a lot of fog (smoke) and vintage cinema lenses from the '50's, so it could be an optical thing, but I doubt it to be honest. It's not video compression, that looks different.
