Don't know, but I don't think its a 58. IIRC, that was still Ponton. I had a 64 gasser that looked like it, except pretty.

about 65 or 66 I'd say. It has the later tail lights like my brothers 66 had not the early ones like my 62 had.

Of course it may be the only 1958 W110 ever built. I would advertise it as a 'rare prototype' if it had a 1958 title.

And speaking of titles.... The VIN on this is stamped right into the radiator support and I would sure check it against the VIN on the title.

Actually I think it is just a typo. It could be titled as a 1968 since Mercedes played rather fast and loose with year models during that time and 1968 would be the last time any of these would be on a dealers lot new.

Didn't the 1968 models have D.O.T.- mandated reflectors mounted on the rear fenders?
