If he wasn’t an idiot, he wouldn’t be driving something made by Chrysler.

He did it himself, if he just went back he could have gotten right out.

Also that's why you need snow tires on all these fancy new SUV's, my buddies G wagon when he got it did something pretty similar with summer rubber.

I see X5's and Range Rovers doing 4 wheel burn outs all the time, summer rubber doesn't do anything in snow. The manufactures put on summer road tires so they handle more like cars for the test drive, the only problem is they are 4wd SUV's...so those tires are a poor long term choice.

Very true. Snow tires make all the difference. Snow tires with studs are even better.

The x5 and x6 have ridiculously wide tires, which also happen to be run flats. Not a good combo for anything under 40*

Jeep Grand Cherokee - Trail Rated...unless the all-season tires are 80% worn.

This brings back memories of driving Ford Mustangs and Pontiac Firebirds during the winters of my youth. Godawful cars in the snow...

and when they are told - umm you are running wrong tires, they get defensive of the brand and try to prove that the super computer controlling the truck is supposed to pull it out of any off road situation no matter what tires it has.

Pretty much.

But I got an honest BMW salesman to admit their tires are crap in the snow.

I was looking at a 740 AWD and I was like nice summer tires you guys must get a lot of complaints come winter. He admitted that they do.

In NYC that's legit.

The last time I was in a super tight spot in New Haven I had my pintle hitch on the back, front spot in the row, so good luck to the guy who got in behind me.

Ultimate rear bumper guard. Especially for those nice fancy foran cars with fancy front ends...
