Ok, shoot me I bought the wife a GLA250 for Xmas. I can't stand her Subaru and I got a killer deal on a loaded GLA demo car. I think it's a great car for the money and has the safety features like the autonomous braking that I promised myself I would have on the next vehicle I bought. Subaru is a gutless rattle trap.

Which model does she have?

My wife's Outback has been astonishingly solid in terms of build quality and reliability. We've beat the **** out of it.

My WRX rattles where the A-pillars meet the dash. Bugged me at first, but now I'm used to it. It's a tin can, but seems pretty rugged. Apparently they have a "fix" for it. I'll ride it out for another year and get something else. Maybe the new Ford Focus RS (?)

I seem to recall that you had a R129 a few years back. Did you sell it?

Swede, we have a 2012 Forrester non turbocharged, I know that was my mistake but the other issues like the right front piller cover popping off numourous rattles intermittent electrical problems yada yada.. It is a is a solid lemon law car but the dealer and Subaru don't go down without a fight which is something I don't have the time for. On the other hand the service at the local MB-BMW-Porsche is so good I'm at a loss for words when asked what they can do to improve service they are a dream to work with. We had good luck with the previous Outback but the price on the GLA and the dealer relationship is hard to beat.

I think I'm going to get an E350 4Matic next, they run good lease deals on them. I'm not really to into cars at the moment just want something shiny with a star on it that's not a work truck.

Surprisingly they still sell them in what looks not to far off from 904 blue!

I looked at Subaru recently before I got my Mazda. they look too boring to me inside. That and a CVT? No thanks.

I still don't get it about the Foresters, but I guess it's subjective I've been Volvo and BMW for the last 8 years so I guess I'm fussy about the bare essentials that Subaru calls premium. I'm not saying it's a bad car I just don't think it's MB or BMW caliber. I did like the outback much more and wish we kept it.

Either way Santa is dropping off the MB on Monday.

Hattie as far as room goes I would say it's a tad less than the 2012 Forester except for headroom where the Subie is like a van in that regard.

Another thing I HATE about Subaru are the seats, since I have a spine made of metal I'm very particular about the ergonomics.
