What about that machine they can just plug in and it tells them everything that is wrong with the car? You're just trying to rip people off with "diagnostics"! $100 just to plug it in? My cousin says you guys are crooks. Besides, I saw a guy on Youtube and he fixed the car just by disconnecting the battery. I bet it's an oxygen sensor. If I buy the part, how much will you guys charge me just to put it in?

And on, and on, and on...

isnt that the truth

The youtube copycats think that everything is just as easy as eating a bag of chips. There are hordes of cars which become scrap from those works and "puter says to replace sensor"

I have literally seen a car with a bad electric plug for the coil pack (wire pulled out) and the owner had put in 2 packs and even bought a replacement ECU. When the car was finally towed to a shop - it was ready and moved out for diagnosis fee. Youtube cost the guy two coil packs and an ECU.

I see some people trying to remove an axle nut with a 1/2 in ratchet, they see the impact gun on youtube and think its a simple drill machine - easy peasy, I'll just use my new harborfreight ratchet - while car is jacked up on something like a bilstein widowmaker like BMW and VW use.
