Hiccups for two weeks??
There was this guy on Mancow that had the hiccups 4 months streight!!! You could probobly have someone fire off a blackpowder rifle in your room while your asleep! That should scare em out.
I wish you the best of luck!

Hmm......I'm having one of my favorite beers (Karl Strouss Oatmeal Stout) at this moment with no hickups.

Technically hickups are caused by a spasm in your diaprhragm, you need to relax your diaphragm to get rid of them. To do this breath in and out very slowly and concentrate on keeping a constant pace of air movement in and out of your lungs.

Once you notice that the hiccups have subsided try to prevent any laughter which can cause the hiccups to return. This has always worked for me.

By the way, whats your favorite beer?

Howdy Manny,
I don't know if this will help with "Beer" induced hiccups, but try either a teaspoon or tablespoon of sugar. It's been so long since I've had to use it I can't remember which dose to take. If you have a sweet tooth I guess it won't matter

If you drink enough those hiccups won't matter

Try a different beer brand

clauser.. I see you are from Chicago. Since there is a big Polish community there, check out one of their stores and see if they have a brand named "Zywiec". Its one of the best I've tried, heh

Czechs make good beers too... try "Pilsnur-Urkel" (not sure if spelling is right). This should be in just about any grocery store. Its a famous brand.

I don't drink beer, but for hiccups what always works for me is, filling up a glass of water all the way to the top, bend over keeping your back straight. So you're making a 90 degree angle, :p and then you have to suck the water out of the cup. Don't place your lips on it as if you were drinking it regularly, but pucker up and suck the water in. I know it may sound crazy but it;s worked for me everytime, except once.

Hrm, maybe replace the water with beer. If it doesn't work, try again and again. Stop after 12 repetitions and consult your physician.

Howdy All,
Why call the Dr.?¿ All he is going to do is tell you to stop drinking because it's bad for your health, and he will be willing to take any that you have left and drink it himself, Oops!¡ I mean dispose of it

Hmmmmmm.....Snibble, what exactly is the drinking age in Columbus. Have they lowered it recently!

Clauser, try a Heineken I'm pretty sure that's bitter enough, if the hiccups are gone you've solved your problems!
