Planned on it after I got another car but now.................
I don't know what to do I like the car but I would like to keep it good on gas mileage untill I can afford a gas guzzler

Why don't you get the engine that was made for that car, The M5 Engine? Its a pretty easy swap.

Find a 3.3 liter or 3.5 liter (the original BMW Big Six, as used in everything from Bavarias to the E34 M5 in final 3.8 liter 340 hp form.....) from an E28 and drop it in. Now that you have this option, why drop another 2.7 liter "eta" engine in?

Well I can find other 2.7 blocks in the junk yard no problem so thats an up side.
As for the M engine I'm not into pay 8k for an engine that parts will kill me later on.
I thought about a 3.3 or 3.5 and it is still an option but I have the entire top end on my in perfect condtion. (just rebuilt)
I will find out on tuesday what the mech. thinks and i will post again.
thanks
