Auto Check is similar. Carmax uses it exclusively. Don't know about pricing or which is better.

I don't have an alternative, but have you used Carfax before?

I googled "carfax vs" and it auto filled in instavin, vinaudit and autocheck. Never heard of or used any of them.

When you buy your vehicles so aged that they're not in the Carfax system, or, when new - you'll not benefit from the service.

What is the one ebay uses?

Autocheck is the other popular one... I've seen both reports, they seem equally thorough. I think CarFax just has a bigger marketing thing going on.

eBay uses AutoCheck... they seem pretty good.
