Mercedes W202 Discussion
Hello all.. I'm looking for a good set of coilovers for a Mercedes W202 C230.. Anybody know where I can find either a used set in good condition or a new set for a decent price.. I'm trying to get at least a 1.5"-2" drop in back and a 2.5"-3" drop in front.. Do you think I can accomplish that with just a set of lowering springs??.. I mean, coilovers would be my ultimate goal, but I'm strapped on cash until next tax season.. Had to pay bills and only have $600 leftover, so if I could close my wheel gaps (especially the front) with just a set of springs, that would be optimal for me at this time.. Thoughts??
Any constructive input, opinions or suggestions, are appreciated This picture doesn't do the front wheel gap justice since its parked in my slanted driveway, pushing weight to the front of the car, closing the gap by about 1". The other pic is a photoshopped to what I'd like my stance to be on this car... Well, maybe not quite that low, but definitely no gaps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've had a slammed W202.
You don't actually need coils to go that low on 18s - H&R springs will get you that low. My C43 with 18" Mono2's looked like this on just springs:

The H&R's are nice springs, I have a set for my W210. Also, I think the 202 may need the offset bolts like the 210 to keep the alignment in spec when installing the lower springs.
