Looking for a Jeep J20 J4000 pickup "Gladiator"

or a j3000.
I seek an 8 lug 3/4 ton, so no honchos--those are all 1/2 ton.

Gladiators- 60s thru 80's
anybody know of any sitting around?

Our local fire department has one as their brush truck...the Captain has already laid claim to it if the station goes to sell it.

A guy that got a D60 from me last nite has 3 j20's and might sell me one.

I dig the early rude crude front face, and camo paint, and big azz tires

A couple under $2000! Not bad for such a good-looking truck.

Yes, that top one is Almost what would fit the bill, since im ripping out the amc engine and axles. Except sadly this one is 1/2 ton, and that's not changeable on the title, gotta be 8LUG. chevy ls power-4l80e/ badboy tranz-> d60 ford and eaton rear.

The second one--- that's definitely not an AZ truck with those floorboards, looks more like Fred Flintstones from bedrock!

It seems 35"-37 tires don't fit and some don't like to trim off the stock flares, some oversized ones can easily be whipped up from fantastic plastic--and stuck on with 3m double sided tape-it holds like crazy even with AZ 115 degree temps. I don't dig the aftermarket tack on flares with the notches for the capscrews.

Anything 75 or earlier that's in Ca--the price jumps quite a bit.

These trucks were the same situation as the Cherokees and commanches, all different kinds of engine and tranz combos, At least at the end. Some had a buick 350 and a turbo 400. The biggest engine was a 401 amc

the D44 front axle is pretty much same as a 3/4 ton chevy k5 or K20.
