Old auto parts question

Had a garage tenant for about 6 yrs. Old man. He's missed the last couple of rent payments so I call him up today and he says he doesn't want the garage anymore and throw everything away. So I cut the lock off and go inside. Lots and lots of boxes of new/old auto parts. Guy must have owned an auto shop and when he retired took all the unused parts with him. Haven't made a close inspection but noticed a box of starter bendixes and Holley carb rebuild kits. I hate to just throw this stuff out since they are useful to the right person. Any body have any ideas on how to find the right person interested in this stuff?

Closer inspections reveals they are almost all auto electric parts. He owned an auto-electric shop. Old testing equipment there too. Ohmmeter the size of a shoebox. Must be 40 or 50 small engine starters still new in the box.

I would throw the whole thing on Ebay. Sell it as a package.

If you are still on good terms with the guy offer to cut him in if he can give you some indication of what is what and the value of this stuff.

Also might call a current shop and see if there's interest.

Try to get an idea of what exactly you have. Then, if you just want it gone, you could give it away on craigslist.

Since he ran an auto electric place if you have one or two locally talk to them. Also it may be relevant on the year he quit the business.

Most aftermarket automotive electrical parts are junk quality now. This was not always the case. Pus original parts now are very pricy.

When buying aftermarket automotive electrical parts today. All too many are so bad and of really questionable quality. The good alternator and starter shops will not touch them.
