remote air pressure senders

I just got home with my new to me 08 Dodge 2500 tow vehicle. I had them put my old wheels and tires on it because the tires were new and the wheels were aluminum. Unfortunately the newer wheels have the remote air pressure senders in them and the receiver is in the 08 so they are sending signals to the old truck which has no receiver and my 08 is saying my tires are flat.

Do I have to get back the same sensors to work or are they generic?

Sounds like a question you should submit to Tirerack.com.

Thanks Buster!

OK, so looked at that then at ebay. Prices are all over the place. Apparently there is some variance in them but also some fit a huge number of vehicles.

I already sent an email to my salesman on the truck to see about getting the ones off the wheels that came on my truck.

I had a set of summer wheels and tires fitted with new TPMS sensors a couple months ago, the sensors were about $50 each purchased through the shop, they were installed and programmed for free by the local chain Town Fair Tire. This was for a 2010 Toyota sedan. I do all my tire and wheel business with them but I would expect if someone shows up with sensors and wants a shop to do the same the shop would charge maybe $20 or 30 per wheel if for no other reason than the time it takes the tech to get that done.
