Anybody use betablockers?

If you use them, you'll know that they are for prostate shrinkage, with a testimonial shout out from I.P. Freely. One friend uses them and swears by them but I'm dragging my feet.

I gather the side effects are perhaps not small. Saw palmetto is not working for me as well as it used to. I've been adding an extra pygeum tab - many of the formulas have it, but the extra boost seemed to do quite well.

I've got to remember not to miss a day with those. Holy crap, they told me that getting old was hell, but ...

Never heard of Beta Blockers for prostate issues except maybe cancer. Old farts like us that I know who take BBs take them for cardiac issues.

I have what my doctor describes as BPH without outflow restriction. In other words, I don't struggle and empty just fine. Started taking high dose Pygeum, Saw Palmetto and Lycopene on his advice after he made that pronouncement last summer. I have another probing coming up at this year's physical so I'm curious to see what the PSA and size report is. PSA has always been low. 1.2 or thereabouts.

Could you possibly be referring to TERAZOSIN, an AlphaBlocker?
It has been prescribed for both cardiac and prostate issues.
Google it for more details.

Wheat grass juice for better peeing? I've used it in the past but I've never heard of it helping with that. Might have to try it a bit more regular.

I'm not familiar with using beta blockers for anything. A buddy of mine on another forum says he was diagnosed with swollen prostate (duh) and prescribed beta blockers of some sort, and that it did wonders. But the side effects concern me.

A few years ago I tried upping my dosage of saw palmetto. Developed dizzy spells which went away when I stopped. I keep it down to two normal doses a day now.

Perhaps TMI. Or not.
