So now that the trunk is open.....
So here is the scenario.. plugged reed valve( had been restricted for a long time befor I bought her), passenger side filled with lots of rain water instorm, electronics have gone nuts, tail lights, turn signals(rear), brake lights including cyclops, gas gauge, trunk closure, all inoperative or behaving bizarrely.
I have spent most of last two days trying to dry out, especially under passenger rear seat, all the water. In desperation I became a human sump pump sucking a couple gallons of water out thru a plastic tube. Yuck. If I wasn't on track for cancer befor I'm sur I will be now. Some problems have gotten better, some worse, and they constantly change. New battery in April seems to now not stay charged. Assume draw on system. I have few tools and even less $. Drying continues, less and less water is collecting. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I accept full responsibility for not discovering this flaw in my new ride, I had a W140 with a similar problem, just assumed MB would have fixed it in the W220. Shame on me. So, any Ideas? Location of drain holes I may have missed? Basically the whole rear of vehicle is inop or intermittent. Thanks in advance for your advice and well deserved criticisms.
