The Grand Tour ... Top Gear reboot.

Has anyone seen it? We just finished it and thoroughly enjoyed it. I think the biggest hurdle any of the other shows will have is reproducing the rapport that these guys have. Anyone can take cars and drive them around a track. Making it entertaining is the trick and I think they still have it.

Watched it last night and loved it. Its a similar format to Top Gear but much more fun. Tyler made it on screen for about 3 seconds too.

Look to the right just above the metal sculpture. I'm the dude in the pink shirt with something tied around my waist.

Where do you watch it?

I've not seen it advertised over here.

(Specific details about your living room are not necessary - the TV channel would help though)

It was great fun. The camera work is great, too.

And while it was close to a Top Gear reboot it was really something more. More original, more entertaining and more dazzling to look at.

Amazon Prime is already a good deal. Adding this should do what Bezo's intended for Prime: To make it the go retailer all over the world.

Saw it yesterday and loved it. Feels far freer than Top Gear; less restrictions. And you feel it. You feel how the Three are finally doing what Top Gear was meant to be from a very beginning.

Can't wait to see the cheap car challenges ahead.

Finishes watching it last night, it was great. As much as I enjoy seeing the 3 of them interact on screen again I hope they take this opportunity to get more creative with the format. Amazon is pouring something like $6m into each episode x 36 episides. With that kind of budget I hope they accomplish more than just a reboot

An interview with their long time producer on what it took to make the Grand Tour happen.

Haven't seen it yet but hopefully this week. Been looking forward to it for awhile, I agree the rapport they have was 90% of the original appeal of TG. The American version doesn't come anywhere close and (from what I hear) the BBC reboot basically doesn't work for that reason either.

Saw the second episode already. Is it just me, or the show feels a little bit "deflated"? And by "deflated" I mean, "we are trying to recreate the Top Gear formula without incurring into trademark problems". I am sure that viewer feedback will improve the show exponentially... they better keep their ears open!

I even liked the closing credits of the first episode - drifting supercars set to Hothouse Flowers' cover of "I Can See Clearly Now".

Haven't watch top gear in a year. Can't imagine it changing much. Love their humor. Great car show that beats gas monkey garage and all those idiots.

Amazon apparently has about a $6 million production budget per episode, and production values are definitely better than the BBC show, particularly in the quality of photography and camera work.

Here is the trailer for the upcoming third episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ou26q5OVBKA
