Dubai Mercedes repair shop

I heard that Dubai has a bigger classic car market compared to Oman and other cities in UAE. If there is someone who knows something would be great. The car is my former 300SEL 3.5 who needs engine/transmission repair and interior renovation. Car is in Muscat Oman. I am in the US and can't find any good mechanic who knows these cars in Muscat. Dubai is 5 hrs away only and it seems to be easy to move the car to Dubai on a trailer.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you will not find a restoration shop there, you will find tons of repair shops, and you will have to sift through them to find the correct ones.

There are no laws to favor you in case a shops completely trashes your car whilst being repaired.

Wrong. There are plenty of repair and restoration shops that are reliable. The classic car community in Dubai and throughout the UAE is huge. My recommendation is
SilberArrows - Ask for Kurt. I've used them with my cars the past 3 years.

my 2 cents

I worked there for about 5 years, and I dont know what to call a good repair or restore, but when I see MB dealers strapping a battery down with cable ties because the factory tie down ear is stripped or temporarily lost is not "quality" in my opinion.

the very few specalist shops are packed to the gills and usually also leave out bits n bobs because of no laws to hold them accountable.
