Man builds Countach from scratch
Wow. Judging from the pictures it is gorgeous. According to another article I read, he sold it in 08 for $67k. Without seeing it up close, I'd say it's worth every penny.
The Man Who Spent 17 Years Building The Ultimate Lamborghini Replica In His Basement Wants To Sell It I like V-12's and all but that Cleveland sounds pretty bad ass. https://youtu.be/MgPNtyVS8zs That is some talent.

Yep, but sadly, it's like buying a fake Rolex from swiss made parts, it's still a fake.

Good point. I had not thought of it like that. I guess I viewed it as more of a tribute piece rather than a knock off. Hell, he even improved upon the original in terms of power and handling. Either way, hell of a job.

I think of a fake as being more like putting an MG, Austin Healy, or a Mini Cooper body on a Pinto frame and power train. This thread deals with a copy that is nevertheless a piece of art. |

He certainly put a lot of effort in, but a copy is just another word for not the real thing which in other words is a fake. As far as improving in terms of power, yes American pushrod v8's can be tuned to make huge HP. I would not call one an improvement over a V12. That would be like comparing a sledge hammer to a scalpel.
