two mint-condition 'twin' 1987 cars found in northwest Oklahoma

"If you can excuse their dust, you'll notice two old cars, don't show their age. A man in Moore is the new owner of two 1987 Buick Grand Nationals. Both cars were sitting untouched and unused in a garage in northwest Oklahoma.
When Shawn Mathews bought them last month, he became the first person to ever hold titles to them.
The cars have barely been driven. One only has 592 miles on it, the other not quite 835 miles. Underneath the dust-- they're brand-new."

Except they weren't the first turbocharged cars. Oldsmobile turbocharged the F-85 in 1962.

And Corvair, also in '62.

The GN may have had an interesting motor, but it was just a dressed up Regal, you know...the "Doctor's Car". Uninteresting at any speed.

A friend from my high school years had a '63 Corvair Monza Spyder Convertible. 4 speed. Turbo. HS graduation present, if you can believe that.
Turbo would talk to you when it kicked in. Zowie!

I remember a Smokey and the Bandit edition Trans AM went for $50-$75 K in Indiana. Low miles etc. This was a couple of years back. These are GNs and not GNXs ( a bit more rare). Still, these cars represent the return of the muscle car.
Yes, a lot of other turbo cars before this one. Even the MB 300 Diesel Turbo. Not to mention the Ford SVO Mustang and Lotus (the James Bond one). Also, I doubt the fastest at that time. 0-60, Look at the Ford SR200, or even the Maserati Bi-Turbo of the same year. So a bit of hype on the seller's part.
