The Rat nest maybe included ,you just get that surprise when you get under the seat for a peak at the patched up floor boards.Im not surprised this has become a second rising for these old classics.The ones that have been sitting in fields or the only source thats pickable rollers ,exteriors just are worthless metal unless you trim them down and build your own bed. Its placed on a mid 80s truck frame followed by wirng then motor/trans and brakes,this gets you 70 % to the finish line , 90% if you call the exterior orig. patina paint.I hear the glass can be custom made ,safety by todays requirements ,seatbelts could be interesting ,these are known for uncommon engineering ,era correctness is what its all about .I like it but would build pratical ,nothing where speed bumps need bags for clearance.

things like seatbelts and left side taillights are not required on something like this,
the s 10 frame is the dillusion of easy greatness from demented rodders brains. should be passed on anything without fenders.

So are you on the NE side near kingswood, and where are the pick-n -pulls that might end up jammed with the overflow of late model totals?

Motors are savable if you act accordingly and fast once flooded,within 3 days I would say ,a week might not work ,drain ,remove carb. or everything above the engine heads ,open valve covers ,suck up any water ,spark plugs out ,the same,replace starter ,or get the one on the car tested , coat with marvel everything metal that you can get to with a squirt can ,refill with new oil and filter ,.(This is where sometimes its good to own a carberated engine
),all electroncal starting componeents that allows the motor to turn over .You wont be going for a start ,the idea is to get the motor to turn over to coat the cylinder walls and prevent internal siezing via rust.
I had 2 cars that I had to bring back from the brink after floods in 94 ,both had nicely rebuilt high compression motors ,a ford 302 69 mustang ,then brought back the 400 pontiac 79 ta,.Had no worries on the 4 spds ,just drain and fill to the top ,when the cars became road worthy you have to get them at their correct level.The interiors where refubished ,seats mostly .Alot of cars will be picked apart after Harvey .A sad delimea

It was interesting to watch as the draining of the motors was nothing but pure water coming out of the engine block . Water displaces oil.

You have lkq as the most reasonable ,theyve become more internet friendly ,search the model and a list pops up , the car with pick and when it entered the yard ,no more guesses ABOUT IF ONE MODEL MAYBE SITTING WAITING TO BE PICKED FROM ,mb w123s are getting scarce www.lkq .com.If the post shows a car that entered 6 months ago ,of coarse the bones have moved onto being hub caps .
Wallisville ,northville and one on the south side ,hiram str. I believe is the name of that one.
Their is lonestar which has some of the w123 models ,research through www.car-parts.com should get a few for your fishing venture.
