US lights are desirable outside of North America?

I've now sold a set of R107 US lights to a guy in Australia, a left side R107 US light assembly to Germany, and a pair of W124 US lights to the UK.

Why does anyone want these? Because sealed beams are cheap to replace? Too bad no one wanted my US spec R107 bumpers haha.
