DM, are you a navy man?

Father was a corpsman on a carrier back in the 80s. He never used to talk about it when I was a kid, but about eight years ago joined an alumni group which has reunited him with old friends from his youth.

His enthusiasm was so infectious that I almost enlisted in Navy OCS after college. Kind of disappointed I didn't. Life would have been a lot different!

No. Never been in any branch of the military. Speech dis-fluency and another medical issue would have precluded my service.

Those who do definitely have my respect regardless of what they did. The willingness to land on a moving postage stamp in the middle of the ocean does take it to a different level in my opinion.
